Obituary- Emma Haueter

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 2 for Emma Haueter, who died April 25, 2001, at Las Vegas, Nev. She was 82.

Mrs. Haueter was born Jan. 22, 1919, in El Salvador to Florentine Reyes and Conception Hernandez. She moved to Carson City, Nev., from West Los Angeles, Calif., in 1996 and had been a resident of Las Vegas since February 2001. A homemaker, she loved her neighbors in Carson City very much. She enjoyed playing scrabble and cards with her family and liked gardening.

Survivors include her son, Carl Haueter of Las Vegas; daughter, Yvonne Yaskoda of Stateline, Nev.; brothers, Salvador Dheming of Las Vegas and Florentin Dheming of San Pedro, Calif.; sisters, Tita Gossett of Las Vegas and Leticia Moskowitz of West Los Angeles; and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, La Monte Haueter, who died in 1998; and son, Rudolph Haueter in 1972.

Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 1 at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley and a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. May 2 at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Carson City, both in Carson City. Mrs. Haueter will be buried alongside her husband at Lone Mountain Cemetery, Carson City.

Arrangements are by Walton’s Chapel of the Valley in Carson City.
