Obituary — Frank Joseph McBryde

Frank McBryde, affectionately known in the Carson, Smith and Mason Valleys as “Old Fart,” died Thursday, May 8, 2003, at 9 in the evening.
He had been cared for by his wife, Judy, and his immediate family at his home in Wellington since being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.
McBryde was born in Culver City, Calif., on Nov. 2, 1919. He served his country in the Pacific during World War II and enjoyed a lifetime career as a motion picture projectionist, motel owner/operator, labor union president and videographer.
His ashes will be interred near his birthplace in Southern California.
McBryde is survived by his wife and best friend, Judy; son and daughter, Jeff and Sharon; grandchildren, Jennifer, Julie and Ian; his great-grandchildren, Hannah and Brianna; his brother, Fred, and his family; and hundreds of friends.
There will be a gathering of friends and family at the Hoye Mansion in Wellington in the near future. The date has not as yet been set.
