Obituary — Jan J. Huckins

Memorial services were conducted April 20 at Broomfield United Methodist Church, Broomfield, Colo., for Jan J. Huckins, who died of a heart attack April 17, 2002, while visiting his mother in Broomfield. He was 59.

Mr. Huckins was born March 8, 1943, at Torrington, Wyo. He attended schools in Torrington and Rocky Ford, Colo., and graduated from Wray High School in Wray, Colo. He attended Western State College at Gunnison, Colo., before serving a tour of duty in Viet Nam in the Army Signal Corp.

For 35 years Mr. Huckins lived and worked in construction and at the casinos in the South Lake Tahoe and Stateline, Nev., area. At the time of his death he was employed at the Horizon Casino Resort.



He is survived by his mother, Wilma Huckins of Broomfield; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Sharon Huckins of Northglenn, Colo.; and his constant companion, his dog Reno.
