Obituary: John Capasso

A Mass will be celebrated at a later date for John Capasso, who died Jan. 30, 2000, at his home in South Lake Tahoe. He was 85.

Mr. Capasso was born Sept. 13, 1914, at Bridgeport, Conn., and had been a resident of South Lake Tahoe since the summer of 1997. He lived at Easton, Conn., from 1960 to 1997 and was a retired tax auditor for the state of Connecticut. He was an active member of Sons in Retirement, South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, Senior Bowling Club and had volunteered as a tax consultant for the AARP.

Survivors include his son, Raphael J. Capasso of Wallingford, Conn.; daughters, Marilyn Capasso of Las Vegas, Nev., and Rosalie Brower of South Lake Tahoe; sisters, Clara Mastroni of Bridgeport, Conn., and Marie Marinaccio of Connecticut; brother, Charles Capasso of Connecticut; and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Marion F. Capasso; three sisters and three brothers.



A Mass will be celebrated at a later date at Notre Dame Church in Easton, Conn., and inurnment will be at St. Michaels Cemetery in Stratford, Conn.
