OBITUARY: JUDY OTVOS

JUDY OTVOS was born in Oakpark, Illinois to Mary and George Helmecy on February 17, 1918. She passed away quietly at Barton Hospital in South Lake Tahoe on November 18, 2011 with family at her side. She was a loving wife to Joe Otvos who predeceased her in 1998. She had two daughters: Cathleen and Karen. They moved to California in 1947 permanently, and lived in South Lake Tahoe since 1984.

Judy loved to cook and sew. She and Joe square danced most of their lives. She worked outside the home as a welder during WWII, then in retail sales. Judy and Joe traveled to Japan and loved traveling the USA.

She lived to see her four grandchildren: Nick, Laura, Joe and Dolane; 12 great grandchildren: Nick, Frank, Jessica, Sarah, Jon, Christopher, Ashley, Tyler, Natalie, Rae, Karen, and Gabe; and 7 great great grandchildren: Angela, Allison, Andrew, Kaelie, Jacob, Robert, and Kaleah.

She held many dear friends to her heart: Karl, Marianne, Ardel, Jimi, Peter, Paula, Arline, and so many more. She will be greatly missed.
