Obituary — Leo Cecaci
A public viewing will take place Sept. 29 for Leo Cecaci, who died Sept. 24, 2003, at Camarillo Convalescent Hospital in Camarillo, Calif., after a brief illness. He was 88.
Born in South San Francisco, Calif., on June 26, 1915, Mr. Cecaci grew up in Emeryville, Calif., attended Emeryville High School, worked for more than 40 years at Judson Steel Corporation and retired to South Lake Tahoe in 1977. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America in Oakland, Calif., and a member of the Elks Club in South Lake Tahoe. His hobbies included automobile repair and skiing. He traveled extensively with his late wife, Mildred Cecaci.
He is survived by his daughter, Janet Meyer of Valley Center, Calif.; grandchildren, Christie Meyer of Westlake Village, Calif., and Amanda Meyer of Valley Center; son-in-law, William Meyer of Camarillo; brothers, Ernest Cecaci of Concord, Calif., and Harry Cecaci of Sonoma, Calif., and sister, Ida Cotroneo of San Leandro, Calif. He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred Cecaci.
A public viewing will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 29 at McFarlane Mortuary, 887 Emerald Bay Road, South Lake Tahoe. Donations in Mr. Cecaci’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
