Obituary: Leroy William Snapp

Private family services were conducted Jan. 28, 2001, for Leroy William Snapp, who died peacefully Dec. 26, 2000, in Hawaii. He was 88.

Mr. Snapp was born June 6, 1912, at Rupert, Utah, and his family settled in the Sacramento area in 1921. He attended Sacramento High School and later became the owner/operator of Butter Crisp Pies for 20 years. A member of the Sacramento Contractors Association, he also was a builder in the Sacramento and Tahoe areas for 20 years. Mr. Snapp was a resident of South Lake Tahoe for 40 years, where he owned and operated the Tally Ho Motel. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors.

Survivors include his daughter, Gloria Kincade and her husband, Dr. Donald Kincade, of Davis, Calif., grandsons, John, Michael and Dr. Robert Kincade; granddaughter, Laura Elliott Kincade; and great-grandchildren, Evan, Alex, Cole, Amanda and Caroline Kincade. He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy Goodwin Snapp; brother, Raymond Snapp; and sister, Fern Smith.

Private family services were presided over by Mr. Snapp’s grandson, John Kincade, Jan. 28, 2001, at East Lawn Sierra Hills Mausoleum.
