Obituary — Marie Chichinisky

A cryptside service will take place Aug. 21 for Marie Chichinisky, who died Aug. 16, 2003, at Merrill Gardens in Gardnerville, Nev. She was 92.

Mrs. Chichinisky was born Oct. 19, 1910, at Buenos Aires, Argentina. She came to Torrance, Calif., in 1958 and moved to South Lake Tahoe in 1997. She had been a resident of Gardnerville for the past four years. She had owned a beauty shop named Peg Leg in Torrance for more than 20 years. Mrs. Chichinisky enjoyed traveling and had seen most of the world. She was married for 62 years to Albert Chichinisky and was very proud to be an American.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ana and Art Winston of Carson City, Nev.; grandson, Brent Bartusch of San Ramon, Calif.; and granddaughter, Kim Wilhoyte of Reno, Nev. She was predeceased by her husband in 1993; a brother and four sisters.



A cryptside service will begin at 1 p.m. Aug. 21 at Green Hills Memorial Park Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. Entombment will be at Green Hills Memorial Park.

Arrangements are by FitzHenry’s Funeral Home of Carson City.
