Obituary — Mavis E. ‘Billie’ Cossel

Funeral services will take place May 10 for Mavis E. “Billie” Cossel, who died May 1, 2003, at Palm Springs, Calif. She was 80.

Mrs. Cossel was born May 22, 1922, at Valley Springs, S.D., and graduated from Garretson High School in Garretson, S.D. A resident of South Lake Tahoe for the past 30 years, she was an active member of the Hope Lutheran Church of the Sierra, the South Lake Tahoe Cancer League and the Edgewood Bridge Club. She was retired from the blueprinting business in Santa Cruz, Calif.

Survivors includer her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Olene Fish and Dr. George Fish of Saratoga, Calif., son and daughter-in-law, Robert O. Steineke Jr. and Linda Steineke of San Jose, Calif., daughters, Wynnae Leoni Dahl of Moraga, Calif., and Patricia Ann Hitchcock of Sacramento, Calif., grandchildren, Sean Ralph Hitchcock and his wife Linda of Long Beach, Calif., Hamilton Tyson Fish of San Luis Obispo, Calif., Taylor Kristen Dahl of Westwood, Calif., and Channing Wynnae Dahl of Moraga, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Marlo Michelle Hitchcock and Angelia Hitchcock, both of Long Beach, Calif.; sister, Pearl L. Tanner of Lodi, Calif., and brothers, Clair Magnus Swenson of Brandon, S.D., and Robert O. Swenson of Corson, S.D. She was predeceased by bothers Delmer Swenson, Oliver Swenson, Elert Swenson and Emil Orval Swenson.



Friends are invited to attend visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. May 9 and funeral services will begin at noon May 10 at the Oak Hill Funeral Home Chapel of Roses, 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, Calif.
