Obituary: Michael Shott

Funeral services will be April 26 for Michael Shott, who died April 20, while enroute to South Lake Tahoe. He was 75.

Mr. Shott was born Nov. 19, 1924, at Aliquippa, Pa., to Wasil and Catherine Shott. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1948 and was stationed in Tennessee. He married Estelle Athanassion in 1950. He was employed by Sinclair Kopper Inc., in Monaca, Pa., for 20 years before moving to Las Vegas, Nev., in 1977. He worked for the Las Vegas School District before his retirement in 1993. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include wife, Estelle Shott of Aliquippa; sons, John Shott of South Lake Tahoe, Thomas Shott of Detroit, Mich., and William Shott of Aliquippa, Pa.; brothers, John Shott of Syracuse, N.Y., Walter Shott of Tuscon, Ariz, and Paul Shott of Plymouth, N.H. .; grandchildren, Christopher, Jessica, Michael, Jackie, Alexi, Ahleia and Aubrie.



Visitation will be April 26 from noon to 3 p.m. followed by funeral services at 3 p.m. both at McFarlane Mortuary, 887 Emerald Bay Road.

Flowers may be sent to the mortuary.
