Obituary, Nona Fern Duhart

Graveside services are scheduled Saturday, May 13 for Nona Fern Duhart, who died May 7 at Barton Memorial Hospital. She was 80.

Mrs. Duhart was born Feb. 5, 1920, at Kansas City, Mo., and moved to California with her family in the early 1940s. A longtime resident of the Antelope Valley in Southern California, she had lived in South Lake Tahoe with her daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine and Bruce Grego, for the past year. She was married to Gerald Duhart, a native of Lancaster, Calif., who predeceased her in 1996 after a long and loving marriage. Most of her life was spent in service to others, not only to her own six children and grandchildren, but in her longtime career as a nurses aide in Antelope Valley and Lancaster Community hospitals.

Survivors include her children, Lee Duhart of Minden, Nev., Marjorie Caldwell of South Lake Tahoe, Don Duhart of Lancaster, Geraldine Grego of South Lake Tahoe, Frederick Duhart of Yerington, Nev., and Carol Maupin of Lancaster. She also is survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will take place Saturday, May 13 at 1 p.m. in the Lancaster Cemetery. Family and friends are invited.
