Obituary: Norman C. Turiano

A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 29 for Norman C. Turiano, who died March 27, 2000, at his home in Stateline, Nev., following a long illness. He was 70.

Mr. Turiano was born Dec. 19, 1929, at New Brunswick, N. J. He retired from Sears after 40 years and moved to Lake Tahoe in 1989. He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling and mostly enjoyed the time spent with his family. Mr. Turiano was a member of Our Lady of Tahoe Catholic Church. His warm smile, friendly jokes and loving way will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine Turiano of Stateline; sons, Norman Turiano Jr. of Absecon, N. J., and Gerard Turiano of Henderson, Nev.; daughter, Dianne Turiano of New Jersey; and granddaughter, Nicole Turiano of New Jersey.



Rosary will be recited Saturday, April 29 at 10:40 a.m. and a memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., both at Our Lady of Tahoe Church, Elk Point Road, Round Hill, Nev. Services were conducted and Mr. Turiano was laid to rest April 1, 2000, at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick, N. J.

The family requests donations in Mr. Turiano’s memory be made to the Hospice Program at Barton Memorial Hospital.
