Obituary- Norman ‘Lee’ Caples

A wake took place April 21 at O’Farrells in Reno, Nev., for Norman “Lee” Caples, who died April 17, 2001, in Reno. He was 53.

Mr. Caples was born March 25, 1948, at Detroit, Mich., where his family roots remain. In the mid-1970s he moved to California and spent several years in areas such as Riverside, Big Bear Lake and Placerville before to South Lake Tahoe. Mr. Caples lived in Tahoe from 1976 to 1984, were he worked for many years as a taxi and casino shuttle driver as well as a motel desk clerk. He eventually settled in Reno, where he worked in the motel industry. He will be remembered and missed by his close friends and former wives.

Mr. Caples was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Margaret Caples; sister, Kathryn Landin; and nephew, Donald Landin.
