Obituary Paul O’Kelley

A memorial service for Paul O’Kelley, 61, a Carson City resident for the past 11 years, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Family, 1201 N. Saliman Road, with Pastor Stan Pesis officiating.

Mr. O’Kelley died May 23, 2001 at his home. He was born Dec. 13, 1939, in Pasadena, Calif., to Richard and Adele Schmidt O’Kelley.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in San Leandro, Calif.



He married his wife Greta on Jan. 16, 1965, in Reno.

Mr. O’Kelley was a machinist for 30 years. He loved racing boats and going to Raiders’ games.




He served in the U.S. Air Force for 4-1/2 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, a stepfather and a grandmother.

Among his survivors are his wife Greta and daughters Kimberly Esenarro and Karrie O’Kelley, all of Carson City; son Michael O’Kelley of Gresham, Ore.; son-in-law Joseph Esenarro of Carson City; daughter-in-law Christine O’Kelley of Gresham; grandsons Michael and Joseph Esenarro and Austin O’Kelley of Carson City and Daniel O’Kelley of Gresham and mother Adele Ivie of Carson City.

Cremation will be at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northern Nevada, 3246 Goni Road, Suite 151, Carson City 89706.

Walton’s Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
