On May 31st, 2012, longtime local, Richard Lee Alexander found peace at the age of 65. Richard was a fighter, he battled Crohn’s disease, infections, and even cancer. Richard’s reason for persevering was never for himself, instead he fought to see his children grow, to support his wife, and to see his first grandchild born. Richard is survived by his wife, Beth, his two sons, Nick (Shannon) and Dan, his grand-daughter Cortana, and his pets Indie and Pita. Richard could often be found enjoying a football game, or watching NASCAR, and loved going to the beach and dog park. The newest joy in Richard’s life was playing with his grand-daughter and watching her grow. Please feel free to join family and friends in celebrating Richard’s life on Saturday, June 9th at the Bijou Park at Noon.
