Obituary — Richard W. Juhl Sr.

Memorial services will be held May 23 for Richard W. Juhl Sr., who died May 17, 2002, at his home in Gardnerville, Nev. He was 69.

Mr. Juhl was born Dec. 18, 1932, in Northwood, Iowa, to Jerry Paul Juhl and Lois Shoryer. Richard married Dorothy Shaw in 1958. They enjoyed the majority of their life together in Solon Springs, Wisconsin, where they raised their three children. He had many hobbies, he enjoyed fishing, doing landscaping and gold panning, and spending time with his family. Richard served 8 years in the U.S. Air Force.

He was a journeyman carpenter in Superior, WI for 30 years.

After retirement Dick and Dorothy spent their winters in Yuma, Ariz. and summers in Lake Tahoe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Robert Juhl and son Richard Juhl, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Juhl of Gardnerville, Nev; daughters, Cindy Juhl of Gardnerville; Teri Juhl-Blackett and son-in-law Chuck Blackett of Sparks, Nev.; mother-in-law Frances Ramel; sisters, Bernice Low of Albert Lea, MN., and Lola Mae Fanning of Des Moines, Iowa; three grandson’s and many nieces and nephews and many,many friends.

Memorial services will begin at 10 a.m. May 23 at St. Gall’s Catholic Church, Carson City.

Arrangements are by FitzHenry’s Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville.
