OBITUARY: Rick Louis Pershing

July 8, 1955 – April 23, 201

Rick was a South Lake Tahoe resident for many years; leaving a legacy of attributes in his life time.

He learned the trade of masonry at a young age, becoming a second generation stone mason with the family business. Rick eventually moved to Sacramento where he attended college at I.T.T. to become a computer technician, graduating with honors and a degree.



Upon returning to Lake Tahoe, he was hired with Floppy’s Computer in 2003 and promoted to store manager. Rick was a skilled fisherman, a hobby he truly enjoyed and loved to share his bragging rights from his favorite fishing holes.

He loved life, especially his children and family. Rick is predeceased in death by his parents, Robert & Joanne Pershing. He is survived by his children Jason & Brandon Pershing of Pine Top, AZ. , Nick & Mandy of Carmichael, CA. , siblings Marlyse McChesney, Glenn (Barbara) Pershing, and Cindy Pershing, nieces, nephews, and 3 grandchildren.




A Celebration of Life will be held at the Classic Cue,

1961 Lake Tahoe Blvd. on Saturday April 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.

Donations in Rick’s name can be made at that time.
