Obituary – Robert Paul Dore

Memorial services will begin at 3 p.m. April 22 in the McFarlane Mortuary Chapel for Robert Paul Dore, who died April 19, 2004, in Reno, Nev., following a brief illness. He was 75.

Robert was born Aug. 2, 1928, at East Haven, Conn. He was a first lieutenant in the Marine Corps from 1951 to 1955 and graduated from Dartmouth College at Hanover, N.H. in 1956. Robert lived most of his life in Litchfield, Conn., where he helped organize Little League and was a member of the Park and Recreation Department and the Volunteer Fire Department. He moved to South Lake Tahoe in 2001 to be near his children.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Susan Heyer Dore of South Lake Tahoe; son, Robert Dore II of South Lake Tahoe; daughter, Jenifer Padrick of Roseburg, Ore.; grandchildren, Kristen, Jamie and Christopher Dore; and his dog, Haley.
