Obituary- Roy W. Detisch Sr.

Memorial services are pending for Roy W. Detisch Sr., who died May 3, 2001, at Washoe Medical Center, Reno, Nev. He was 77.

Mr. Detisch was born Jan 1, 1924, at Carrik, Pa., to William Wilson and Laura Schaub. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and married Betty Nedley Nov. 2, 1945, at Pittsburgh, Pa. He had been a resident of Las Vegas, Nev., before moving to Zephyr Cove 16 years ago. Mr. Detisch was a hard working man who enjoyed remodeling homes. He was an international representative for the AFLCIO for 21 years.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Betty Detisch of Zephyr Cove; son, Roy W. Detisch Jr. of Las Vegas; daughter, Sharon Detisch Miskafski of Las Vegas; two grandsons and two granddaughters. He was predeceased by his parents.



Memorial services will take place at a later date.

Arrangements are by Walton’s Douglas County Mortuary, Minden, Nev.
