Mary Stella Silva

Mary Stella Silva, 91, a Dayton resident for the past 27 years, died Feb. 9, 2001, at her home. She was born Feb. 2, 1910, in Fall River, Mass., to Joseph M. and Mary Perry Charves.

Before moving to Dayton, she lived in Fremont, Calif.



Mrs. Silva was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting and loved her family very much.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Manuel, Jan. 5, 2000.




Among her survivors are her son David of Dayton; daughters Betty Reganold of Anacortes, Wash., Nora Asman of Stockton, Calif., and Mary Ann Moen of Ridgecrest, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

No service will be held.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry’s Crematory.

FitzHenry’s Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
