Obituary: Steven Anthony Santo

Funeral service will be March 3 for Steven Anthony Santos, who died Feb. 27, 2001, at Barton Memorial Hospital, following a long courageous battle with cancer. He was 43.

Mr. Santos was born Nov. 24, 1957, at San Rafael, Calif., and had been a resident of South Lake Tahoe for 23 years. He had worked as a bellman at Harveys Resort & Casino and later as a facilities engineer at Harrah’s Tahoe. For the past three years he was a clerk at Scotty’s Hardware. He was a great fan NASCAR racing, was active in the Mens Bowling Association and loved the 49ers and Giants.

Survivors include his mother, Joy V. Santos and sister and brother-in-law, Sandi and Dave Hoffman, all of South Lake Tahoe. He was predeceased by his father, Walter Santos.



Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3 in the McFarlane Mortuary Chapel, 887 Emerald Bay Road. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
