Obituary- Woodrow ‘Woody’ Scott

Woodrow “Woody” Scott died on Oct. 13, 2001 in Sacramento. He was 88.

Mr. Scott was a native of Sacramento and had a summer home at Lake Tahoe for many years. He is survived by Myrna Scott, his beloved wife of 64 years; son Tom and his wife Marilyn of Carmichael; son-in-law Jerry Ingram, husband of the late Sue Ann; seven grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; sister Charlotte of Bellmer of Stockton, Beatrice Berg; Elwin, Vonley, Charles and Wesley Scott.

Mr. Scott was a fifty year member of the Scottish Rite Lodge # 40 and the National Association of Letter Carriers, past president of Land Park Improvement Club and a former high school and college football, basketball and baseball official for NCOA as well as past president of NCOA. He was also an avid golfer.

Friends are welcome for a visitation on Wed. Oct. 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thurs. Oct. 18 at the George L. Klumpp Chapel of Flowers, Riverside Blvd. and 2nd Ave. in Sacramento. Remembrances may be sent to the Scottish Rite Masonic Center- Childhood Language Disorders Clinic, at 6151 H Street, Sacramento, Calif. 95819.
