Octo-Freeze event to raise funds for Africa

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Local swimmer Tiffany Carter is organizing her second South Lake Tahoe event, Octo-Freeze, to raise funds for a small village in Kenya. The event will feature food by Lake Taco, a 100-yard water fun run, games, crafts and music by Deep Fried Mojo. Octo-Freeze will take place Oct. 9, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Regan beach. Admission is $5 for children, which includes a taco or burrito and drink, and $10 for adults, which includes two tacos and a drink.

All proceeds will go to fighting hunger and promoting education in the Athi River village in Kenya.
