Officers search house after reported break-in

Jennie Tezak

South Lake Tahoe police responded to a Los Angeles Avenue home Wednesday after a boy called 911 and hung up after saying someone had broken into his house, according to Sgt. Shannon Laney.

At least six officers were seen entering the house around 4 p.m. as Laney stayed with the boy’s mother.

The boy waited in another car with a different officer. A police dog waited in one of the patrol cars.

Officers were investigating the case. Sgt. Josh Adler deemed it a suspicious circumstance Wednesday night and said no other details were available.
