One last chance for kids to race

The Heavenly Ski Foundation will host the Kinder Kup Championships for youths 6 and younger Sunday on the California side of Heavenly Ski Resort. The race consists of two timed runs through a giant slalom course, the results of which are combined for overall placing. Participants are allowed as many practice runs through the course as needed prior to the close of registration.
Registration begins at 8 the morning of the race and continues until 9:45 in the race team building adjacent to the Heavenly Tram. Racing begins at 10. Although these are the championships, there is no necessary qualification – just the desire to ski race.
For those who have earned points throughout the race season, this race also will be used to score the top three overall winners of the Kinder Kup Race Series for both boys and girls. Only one male and one female will be crowned Kinder Kup Champion.
For more information call the Heavenly Ski Foundation at (530) 541-7354.
