The Lake Tahoe Community College Theater Department will perform at the Fringe Festival in Victoria, British Columbia, Aug. 19-Sept. 1. Open auditions for actors, singers and dancers for “Lysistrata’s War” are scheduled at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Duke Theater. There are roles for 17 principal singers plus chorus and roles for dancers. There also will be crew positions to run the show.

The estimated cost of the trip is $1,048, which includes hotel and breakfast daily. Students will be responsible for all other trip costs, including travel to and from Victoria, tuition and meals.

People wishing to audition for singing roles will be learning pieces from the show at the audition. Musical selections from the show also will be available outside the theater department office in the LTCC fine arts building.
