Open house planned for Roots and Wings


Open house for Roots and Wings Preschool is scheduled from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. May 16 at Kahle Community Center, 236 Kingsbury Grade.

Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department is offering a part time preschool program at the center. Roots and Wings offers age appropriate activities in the art, math science, language, sensory, cognitive development, practical life, dramatic play, music and fine and large muscle development.

Program hours for the 2002-2003 school are 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday. Other options will be a two- and three-day program. Tuition is $12 a day and class size is limited to 16 children and two teachers.

Roots and Wings is a licensed preschool designed for 3-to-5-year-old children. They endeavor to create an environment where children respect themselves and others while inviting their young minds and bodies to think, create, explore, discover and wonder. The goal of the preschool is to inspire a life long love of learning.
