Opinion: Weather to return to print Fridays
Tribune Managing Editor
Weather will return to Tahoe Daily Tribune’s print editions on Fridays.
When weather was trimmed from print last month, we asked for reader feedback — and we weren’t disappointed. A variety of longtime readers reached out saying they missed it, so we’re bringing it back in expanded form.
Friday’s weather forecast will now include a full week or predictions, plus the statistics people love — lake level, fire danger, air quality, UV index, and the list goes on …
We’re adding it back on Fridays only for two reasons — timing (as weather can either encourage or inhibit weekend enjoyment) and space (we still intend to limit syndicated content in favor of local news). The Tribune continues to focus on bringing more local faces, events, community issues and opinions into print editions.
For weather predictions throughout the week, we encourage readers to visit us daily at http://www.tahoedailytribune.com/SouthShore/sWeather. Lake level will run in the local briefs section in Wednesday and Saturday print editions.
Don’t forget — the Tribune may print three days a week, but it’s a daily news source online. Visit http://www.tahoedailytribune.com, Twitter and Facebook every day for local and regional news.
Continued reader feedback is encouraged as well — don’t be shy. Please tell us what you like and how you’d like to see us improve. Most importantly, if you have a news tip, please send it our way.
