A gold star for Silver State

Four men completed what many would say was the impossible when they set out Aug. 5 to complete 10 challenges put forth by the Nevada Commission on Tourism.

We commend them for their tenacity to overcome what could have been insurmountable obstacles that crept up along the way. Their travails have been memorialized in black in white through a series of articles that ran in the Tahoe Daily Tribune. We look forward to bringing you more details of their exploits in the coming weeks after they have rested and can compose their thoughts.

Perhaps they have helped to rub off the tarnished image the state has. These four proved that the Silver State is more than a gambling and sex mecca. It is a destination spot for outdoor enthusiasts.
