Bias has no place in vote

Editor’s note: The following letter is addressed to El Dorado County Supervisor David Solaro and appears here at the author’s request.

To the editor:

I am writing to request that you excuse yourself from voting on any issue pertaining to mobile/manufactured home residents and/or mobile home park owners.

It is very clear that you are biased in favor of park owners (i.e. your remarks yesterday, Tuesday, April 24) before the Board of Supervisors on Agenda Item #56.

As you know, there are about 5,000 El Dorado County resident mobile home owners and possibly 10 park owners (in parks of more than 25 spaces) residing in El Dorado County. The mobile home residents are relying on a Supervisorial Board with an open mind on all issues. As a supervisor, your actions are very biased and leave no doubt as to a lack of integrity for constituent representation.

Again, I respectfully ask that you remove yourself from voting on these issues.
