Kenny Curtzwiler

My name is Kenny Curtzwiler and I have lived, worked and enjoyed South Lake Tahoe as a resident since 1977 when I came here for a vacation and stayed on as so many have. Many of you know me as The Skibum. Many of you know me as the Bartender at Carlos Murphy’s for 19 years and many of you know me as a Contractor and owner of K & K Services, a Tree Service and Roofing company. Regardless of how you know me the point is you know me, you know my thoughts and position on everything that concerns our community. There is no hidden agenda with me.

Pam and I were married in 1981 at Emerald Bay and celebrated our wedding day at the Amacker Ranch rodeo . We have raised three children all of whom were born at Barton. I have mountain biked every trail and have swam in every lake in the Sierra. I ski every day. I have worked two jobs just to survive. I am a 20 year military veteran having served in the Nevada Army National Guard and retired a Major. I have attended Lake Tahoe Community College when it was located on highway 50, I took all my business classes there and my company is successful for it (Thank You Mr. Meir), my wife got her AA from LTCC, My oldest son, a Navy Veteran, went there on his GI Bill and my youngest son is currently attending LTCC full time. Our family’s roots are here and I am grateful to be able to live and play here.

I am very active in our community both personally and professionally through my company where we provide labor, monetary donations and services to all local community fundraisers and events. My company cleans the beaches, rakes the lawns and empty’s all the garbage cans at Regan and El Dorado every July 5th and have done so for the last 16 years because it is the right thing to do. The Children’s Memorial Tree is and will always be a factor with our family as my son’s plaque is there.

I did not seek any endorsements as I would like to go into the position of County Supervisor for District V with a clean conscience. This is the time for the community to get together and move forward. I do not take this position lightly and will be a full time supervisor and continue to be a full time resident.

City of South Lake Tahoe, Meyers, Kyburz, Pollock Pines, Strawberry, Tahoma and Echo Summit, I am asking for your vote of confidence, trust and accountability in seeking the position of Supervisor District V in El Dorado County. Thank You.
