Kudo: A toast to the South Lake Tahoe community

The South Lake Tahoe Friends of the Library, staff and volunteers thank all who helped make our August fundraiser, “A Toast to Die For,” both a fun-filled evening and a financial success. Our award winning authors — Mark S. Bacon, Cindy Sample, Sue Owens Wright and Kathi Daley — and musicians John Smart, Jared Clark and Nick Chandler generously gave their time and talent. Over 100 individuals and local businesses donated valuable items to our silent auction. Grocery Outlet, Cold Water Brewery and Dart Beverages provided libations for the evening to complement the delicious buffet from Diane Wilkinson Catering. All proceeds from this “evening of mystery” go the South Lake Tahoe Library to provide additional books, resources, programs and materials to benefit the community.
