Kudos & Kindness

South Tahoe Cancer League

South Lake Tahoe Cancer League would like to thank South Tahoe Stand Up Paddle and all those who participated in the first Paddle Against Cancer event.

The event was conceived by Julie Zeid, a cancer survivor and avid paddle boarder and hosted by Chris Brackett, owner of Stand-Up Paddle and Robin Bender, CFO and business administrator. Riviera Paddle Surf in San Clemente donated a 3K carbon shaft paddle board for one raffle and community businesses gave generously for many more raffles. Sept. 13 was a beautiful day to be on the lake and the spirit of giving and supporting our community was a perfect complement. SLTCL is a 100-percent volunteer, non-profit corporation providing help to cancer patients who are permanent residents from Glenbrook, Nev. to El Dorado/Placer County, Calif.
