Kudos & Kindness: Lake Tahoe Humane Society says thank you
Lake Tahoe Humane Society would like to send our fondest kudos to Bridget of Elevated Fitness for her recent, generous donation of $1,000 to Lake Tahoe Humane Society with proceeds from a scavenger hunt that occurred in April. We would like to thank all the participants of the scavenger hunt as well. Elevated Fitness does this four times a year for us. Bridget also does a “Fit-Pup Friday” event where you can bring your dog and a bag of dog food, which is donated to us. Check out http://www.elevatedtahoe.com for future scavenger dates. We had so much fun and the money will go to the many programs and services the humane society provides to the people and pets of Lake Tahoe. We depend 100 percent on private donations as we receive no federal, state or local funding. Thank you, Bridget and Elevated Fitness!
Lake Tahoe Humane Society also wishes to acknowledge South Tahoe Refuse and its staff for their continuous support. April was a recycle-match month in which South Tahoe Refuse matched the dollar amount of all recyclables turned in that were dedicated to Lake Tahoe Humane Society. In addition, John and his office staff donated money on the Big Day of Giving event in early May. We want to let everyone know that you too can turn in your cans, bottles and plastic at any time and have the dollar amount donated to the humane society, and you would be helping the environment as well and meeting our recyclable goals. Many people find this a quick and easy way of donating and it helps us out tremendously every month. We are so lucky to live in such an animal-friendly and pet-oriented community, and local companies don’t often receive the recognition they so deserve as community partners. Thank you to John Marchini, South Tahoe Refuse and all the staff.
