Kudos & Kindness: Live Violence Free says thank you

Live Violence Free would like to thank Temple Bat Yam for its incredible generosity and continued support of our agency.

In December, Temple Bat Yam organized a gift card drive and raised over $300 for our confidential safe house.

We’d also like to thank all of the amazing donors who made our Adopt a Child Holiday Program a huge success. We had over 170 children and parents adopted out this season; each one received hand-picked gifts purchased by members of the community.

Some of our incredible donors included Barton Hospital and Shelly Merchant, who organized adoption of 14 people. Not only that, Barton surprised Live Violence Free with a toy drive full of really cool gifts.

More incredible donors were Liberty Utilities and Andrew Gregorich, who organized adopting of 24 people. Also, Deb Howard & Co. adopted 12 children and parents. These two teams were so generous in their giving.

We would additionally like to thank Kiwanis Club of Tahoe Sierra for its wonderful generosity for our shelter families. This year, Kiwanis adopted two families from our shelter program, and provided them with gifts, a tree, Christmas decorations and a meal.

And last but certainly not least, we would like to thank the City of South Lake Tahoe and Lori M. for adopting seven ornaments and one family.

Our agency would not exist if not for the love and generosity of our community, and for that we are truly grateful.
