Kudos & Kindness: Live Violence Free says thank you
Live Violence Free would like to thank the South Lake Tahoe Elks Club for their amazing generosity and continued contribution to our programs and services. In December, Elks Club surprised our agency with an incredible donation of $700 in gift cards. This money will directly sponsor our confidential safe house, and the families who live there.
The Serenity House is a comforting and welcoming home where families and individuals come to find refuge. It is a program that provides shelter, food, and day-to-day living essentials, allowing the families to save money towards independent living for up to 180 days.
In addition to supporting The Serenity House, the Elks Club graciously sponsors our food pantry program, which ensures our clients receive the meal boxes they need for the month.
Live Violence Free is so grateful for our partnership with the Elks Club, not just during the holiday season, but year round.
Then on Dec. 13, Tahoe Douglas Rotary held their annual Rotary Christmas Party at Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel, where clients of Live Violence Free were invited to partake in the festivities and gift giving. The food was delicious, the laughter was joyous and our clients were welcomed with warm, open arms. At the party, our clients were gifted with gifts, such as: self-care items for mom, warm PJs and slippers for the kiddos, and so many cool toys.
Thank you so much to Tahoe Douglas Rotary for their continued generosity and support for Live Violence Free. We are truly grateful.
