Kudos & Kindness: Tahoe Art League says thank you

Tahoe Art League would like to thank the community for helping to make our Art Angels program a success!

Art Angels is a program of the Tahoe Art League, held in cooperation with the El Dorado County Wellness Center. Each Friday Charisse Sotto, a volunteer of the Art League, teaches participants in Wellness Center programs various techniques in artistic expression. The program not only develops participants’ artistic skills, but it also allows them to focus on a positive, creative process that promotes a sense of accomplishment, pride and overall well-being.

We would like to thank Trans-Sierra Investments, Maryon Tilley and Adrian Gooch for their generous support of the program. Special thanks go to Raley’s and Safeway for providing refreshments for the artists’ reception, and to Phyllis Shafer for serving as juror for the exhibit. Thanks also to Lake Tahoe Community College for hosting the exhibit, and to staff of the El Dorado County Wellness Center.

Finally, thank you to Charisse Sotto for giving her time and considerable artistic talents to benefit the program, and to the artists who created so many wonderful works of art.

The art pieces created through this program will be on display at the El Dorado County Library at 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd., in South Lake Tahoe, through June 30. We hope you will take the time to view this wonderful art, and always keep in mind that each mind matters.
