Kudos & kindness: Thank you to Bread & Broth AAD sponsors
What an amazing community exists in South Tahoe! Week after week another organization, church, business or individual steps up to partner with Bread & Broth to feed food-insecure members of our community every Monday evening at St. Theresa Grace Hall. These “Adopt A Day of Nourishment” sponsors donate $250 to cover the costs of food, supplies and equipment needed to prepare our delicious and well-balanced dinners.
In addition, B&B encourages our AAD sponsors to send up to five sponsor crew members to work side by side with our volunteers with the meal’s setup, serving and cleanup. B&B is always thrilled to work with these amazing individuals who come so prepared to do anything they can to make the dinner guests welcomed and cared for.
B&B would like to thank the following “Adopt A Day” sponsors and crew members:
Riva Grill on the Lake – Sponsor Crew Members: Antoine Eshak, Melissa Gibson-Taylor, Maura Jones, Cesar Santillan
Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority – Sponsor Crew Members: Sue Barton, Mike Frye, Georgette Hartley, Joanna Lilly, Anne Sutterfield
Adventure Mountain Resort – Sponsor Crew Members: Jim, Linda and Max Mueller
Lake Tahoe Moose Lodge #1632 – Sponsor Crew Members: Rick Ainsworth, Scott Blumenthal
Heavenly Mountain Resort – Sponsor Crew Members: Jared Autio, Chris Barbar, Kelly Carmichael, Jolena Hearn, Paul Hopkins
Harrah’s/Harveys’ HEROs – Sponsor Crew Members: Steve Campbell, Pat Frega, Debbie Neall, Nathan Scott, Darlene Winkelman
Due to the generosity of our community donors, B&B also serves pasta and soup dinners every Friday at the Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church and in September, B&B expanded its outreach by providing weekend food for 103 LTUSD K-8 students through the “St. Theresa Bread & Broth 4 Kids” program.
