Kudos: Support for Special Olympics Skate Night

A heartfelt thanks to the heroes of the Heavenly ski patrol and Tahoe Ice Arena for sponsoring the Special Olympics Skate Night. Athletes, family and friends enjoyed a night of ice skating and pizza donated by Base Camp Pizza. It is inspiring to see the ski patrol making inclusion a reality for our athletes by working with the disabled population.

The ski patrol worked on an individual basis with Special Olympic athletes providing them the experience of ice skating so they “find the courage to give all the have.” The ski patrol engineered sleds for those unable to skate, making the dream that our athletes are “brave in the attempt.” Heavenly ski patrol continues to support and make the Special Olympics a priority. A big warm thanks to Heavenly ski patrol, Tahoe Ice Arena and Base Camp Pizza for organizing this event and most importantly, being our heroes in the community.
