Lack of quality dining on the South Shore

I remember when I first moved to the South Shore in 1983, I was so happy to live in a place where pretty much anywhere you chose to eat was fantastic, wonderful food, great service and when you left you felt like you had spent your money well. In the last two years a lot has changed. Now it looks and tastes like they are serving dog food, and the servers, managers and chefs seem to have the attitude of the walking dead.

We have been to the Sage Room (lack of service, spinach salad uncleaned or trimmed); Forest Buffet (prime rib that looked medium-rare but over well-done on the inside, how do you do that? Could not cut it with the knives — warm raw oysters, sushi rolls, crab legs and cold soup and it wasn’t gazpacho); Red Hut (lack of service and burgers not good at all); Samurai Sushi (lack of service, and unagi that tasted like fish, not eel); MontBleu (lack of service, and steak was so tough you also could not cut through it with the knives they gave you).

It is very disappointing and frustrating when we work so hard to make money, save money and once in a while go out to eat, only to have it stolen for something that you don’t get. Especially when we remember how grand the South Shore used to be.

Can’t anyone fix this?
