Letter: ‘A disgusting display of dog defecation’

Just yesterday I took my two dogs for a walk down to Nevada Beach using the Rabe Meadows Trail starting at the parking lot located adjacent to Highway 50. I used the upper unpaved trail that runs along the marsh and creek as it descends to Nevada Beach.

Not in my entire life have I experienced such a disgusting display of dog defecation strewn all about the area and trail. What kind of people would allow such a beautiful area and trail to be polluted with defecation? The area is not suitable for dogs, children or adults to walk through as there is no practical way to avoid walking in the stew of defecation that, no doubt, seeps its way into the creek system.

The citizens of this area must find and develop a way to discourage this destruction of their beautiful resources by the few who are thoughtless and filthy! And if that’s too harsh a description, so be it. The situation is truly filthy!
