Letter: Freshies support

To the editor:

I was surprised by the editorial written by Robert Stern attacking the restaurant Freshies. I have eaten there many times because they have delicious, healthy food, a charming atmosphere and congenial wait staff. The fish tacos are among my favorites and I like the sauce used. Mr. Stern’s editorial was unnecessarily nasty and vindictive and critical of a place whose only fault is not catering to the idiosyncrasies of his palate. It appears to me that dousing every food eaten with anything, be it blue cheese, guacamole, ketchup or whatever, shows a lack of discrimination and an inability to appreciate what one is eating. I believe that this editorial is an unfortunate example of irresponsible and unprofessional journalism and I am sorry to see it in your newspaper.
