Letter (Jason Collin): ‘I am dedicated to our community and now, more than ever, to my run for city council’

To the South Lake Tahoe Community,

As most people know, my life took an unexpected turn on Sept. 23. Not only do events like this make you reevaluate priorities, they also show the true character of a community. I have been truly humbled by the outpouring of support and am more proud than ever to be a part of this extended family we call South Lake Tahoe.

My motivation to run for city council has always been to elevate the conversations in the community and facilitate consistent, responsible investment and improvement in South Lake Tahoe. I believe the way we treat our city is a reflection of the way we treat our people. Not only can we do better, we must do better — because we deserve it.

I am dedicated to our community and now, more than ever, to my run for city council. You’ve all had my back when I needed it most, and I hope I can return the favor as your city councilman.

Jason Collin

South Lake Tahoe City Council candidate
