Letter — Now that’s Scottish

In the Jan. 13 letters to the editor a writer was kind enough to say that fish are no different than bears. Good on ye friend, you are not alone! Of course recreational fishing is a multibillion dollar industry and we are not likely to make a dent in that tidal wave of energy.

On the lighter side the following was originally printed in The Scottish Field, January 1945:

Enjoy thy stream, O harmless fish;

And when an angler for his dish,

Through glutton’s vile sinne,

Attempts, the wretche, to pull thee out,

God give thee strength, O gentle trout,

To pull the raskall in!
