Letter: Senior project unfair

To the editor:

I have some very serious issues that need be addressed concerning the South Tahoe High School Senior Project. I myself do not attend the school, nor have I ever. There is no way any one or group of people running the South Lake Tahoe Unified School District can expect the graduating seniors to complete a Senior Project in order to not only walk with their class, but attend the senior prom. This is plain old discrimination! This is not a California state law, nor will any good come from making the kids feel any less important than the ones who do the “Senior Project.”

If you check other California high schools there are other Senior Projects, but they are only for good marks on your transcripts and extra GPA. To give these kids something extra is fine, but to take something away when they have finished all the requirements to graduate is, simply put, ludicrous!
