Letter — Tahoe residents dying of cancer

I write to you today as a concerned citizen and friend in mourning. I lived in South Lake Tahoe for the better part of eight years and in that time have known countless (OK at least 10 that I can think of) people who have had cancer. Far too many for a woman my age (30). Many of these friends and acquaintances have lost their battle with this horrible disease and I have had enough! Most recently my best friend since childhood, the person I moved to Tahoe with, passed away suddenly and without warning. She never even knew she had brain cancer.

Does anyone know what the heck is going on? The one thing all of these people had in common was that they lived in Tahoe.

I know this letter is not very coherent, but my intent is not to get it printed. Mostly I’d like to get information. Find out if anyone knows anything. Please help. This is horrible. People keep dying.,
