Letter: Thanks for fast action

To the editor:

Please find a place for this in your paper.

On Monday, Jan. 22, while returning from a visit near Jackson, Calif., my wife, our grandson and I stopped at a Sno-Park on U.S. Highway 50, about 10 (?) miles west of South Lake Tahoe to play in the snow with our toboggan.

Unfortunately, I suffered a third-degree heart block and was transported to Barton Memorial Hospital and airlifted to Washoe in Reno. There I received a pacemaker on the 24th, and was released the next day from the hospital.

I would like the attendant at the Sno-Park who sent out the 911 call and the paramedics who responded to know that their quick actions made a difference to this grandpa (69), a grandma, and a very appreciative 6-year-old grandson. I’m home and doing fine.

Thank you sincerely.
