Letter- The ambulance selection unfair

To the editor:

I read with interest in this morning’s Tahoe Daily Tribune that the El Dorado County ambulance selection committee has only one local representative left on this committee, Mr. Stan Hansen.

The problem here is that Mr. hansen is neither a resident of El Dorado County, nor California. Mr. Hansen is a resident and taxpayer of Nevada. So are there no local residents remaining on this panel? This is a travesty.

I might add that ex-fire chief John Ceko of Lake Valley Fire District was an advertised supporter of Dave Solaro’s campaign for county supervisor. A conflict of interest? I believe so. The playing field hardly appears level here.
