Letter to Editor

I must comment on your Jan. 21 picture that appeared on your front page labeled Bush Fans Bury Clinton. I think the people who held the party are creative and reflect the feelings of most residents of Northern Nevada.

It also speaks highly of your paper and shows that you present both sides of the political spectrum. Because of articles like this, I have been a loyal subscriber of your paper for the eight-plus years I have lived in Carson City. Initially when I moved here, I subscribed to the Nevada Appeal and the Reno Gazette-Journal. It did not take very long to see the liberal bias of the Journal and a short amount of time for me to cancel my subscription to their so-called unbiased newspaper.

I have read the derogatory letters that have been published, and I can’t help but feel that some in our society need to take a deep breath and lighten up. There have been many left leaning political cartoons that have tweaked me, but I defend your right to print them.

Please keep up the good work and continue to print articles that appeal to the political left and the right. I would not object to seeing them on the front page either. I am sure that the main concerns of many are entitlements. People just have to relax and allow our new administration to see to their needs, as I am confident they will.

Thank you for your journalism.
