Letter to the editor for Nov. 2

In a letter in Thursday’s Tribune, Duane Wallace stated that I am a “puppet.” Let’s set the record straight: I am a puppet to no one. I am a self-thinker and always will be. Anyone who knows me knows that to accuse me of being a puppet is absurd.

I was absolutely not requested by any special-interest groups to run for STPUD board Seat 4. I bring a view of the working-class person in the field – a view that a professional politician has no knowledge. My wife and I became involved with the Citizens Alliance to fight the BID tax. Please remember that the BID tax caused a split within the business community that still has not healed. As I have stated several times publicly, my decision is based solely on the desire to give back to the community that has been so good to my family.

My campaign has been 100 percent funded by myself.

Candidate for STPUD Seat 4
